Music Videos
On today's MTV or BET all we see are young women shaking their butts all over the camera. This is extremely degrading, and devalues all women everywhere. It sends the message that if women want to be famous and get on t.v, they have to look and act like a hoe. What happened to the days when the videos were actually about the song and words in it as opposed to just how many girls can you get in your video with a thong on? Is it our right to judge these women on their actions, because all of them are adults and can make their own decisions.
WNBA
This blog is about how there have been talks that the WNBA might get cancelled. Reports say that the WNBA just isn't producing the revenue that it should. Why exactly isn't the WNBA generating the revenue as the NBA? Anyone who watches the WNBA knows that the women play the game just as good as the males in the NBA if not better. Sure the women don't have as many athletic, high flying plays as the men, but their game is just as entertaining so why aren't as many people watching the WNBA as the NBA?

espn-sexism
Espn is the t.v station that is supposed to cover all aspects of every sport, but for whatever reason female sports are often over looked. You can turn to espn at almost any point and catch a LeBron James or a Tiger Woods highlight, but what about more Candace Parker or Serena William's highlights. Female sports are often just as entertaining as men's but has our society become so narrow minded that we only want to see what the men are doing and not the women?

Family Guy-Meg
In the t.v show Family Guy, on of the characters Meg is constantly being insulted and disrespected, most of the time by her own father. The show uses Meg to mock the average american girl and the things they have to go through. In one of the later episodes of the show that reflected the future, Meg had a sex change and became Ron, is the constant cruelty that Meg faced a direct result of her later her having the sex change?

Feminity in "The Brothers"
Recently I watched the movie "The Brothers" which is about four men who are best friends and all of them seem to be having problems with females. They are constantly complaining to each other about what their girlfriends and wives are doing. They don't ever stop to think that it could be them doing something wrong, they just keep on blaming their relationship issues on the women. My question is, is that the problem with most relationships today that the man or woman doesn't want to admit when their wrong because of their own pride?

NFL's Female Fans
For years, men were thought to be the sex that was more likely to care about football. In recent years, there has a dramatic increase in women that consider themselves fans of the game. How exactly did this come to be, because stereotypically a football fan was a male. Now, one could make the argument that there are just as many female fans of the NFL as men. There's only one question, what changed the female perspective on the game?
